Young people must be 16+. Referrals must be completed by Social Workers or other Local Authority placement teams who are authorised to do so and are then forwarded to Bright Sky Youth Services.

In the first instance, also an expression of placement interest can be made either by telephone, email or via our website.

This will be followed by a discussion which will take place between the placement team and a member of the management team who will assess the young person’s needs and suitability. Placements will not commence without a full risk assessment being undertaken.

We will be working with Social Services EDT teams to ensure young people can be placed on an emergency basis.

A needs and risk assessment will be completed for every young person referred to the service. This is to ensure an effective match and mitigate any risk to the young person or other residents.
